As an IB World School, Escola Bilíngue Pueri Domus offers High School students the Brazilian curriculum integrated with the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Programme.
For over 15 years, Escola Bilíngue Pueri Domus has been part of the global community of IB World Schools. Since 2010, the school has built a strong track record in International Baccalaureate education, and today four campuses in the network are authorized to offer the Diploma Programme (DP), establishing a shared international academic culture with broad reach.
In High School, the Diploma Programme is part of the curriculum, and all students are IB students. The programme combines the Brazilian curriculum with an outstanding international education, with subjects such as Business Management, Mathematics, Biology, Brazilian Social Studies, English and Portuguese, among others. This education is complemented by the programme’s core subjects: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay, Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).
Throughout this journey, students develop research and argumentation skills, critical thinking, autonomy, intercultural awareness and social responsibility, while taking part in internal and external assessments conducted according to global standards. An IB education prepares students to become inquiring, knowledgeable, caring and open-minded young people who can draw on their knowledge to address complex challenges and contribute to a more just and peaceful world.
The IB Diploma is accepted for university admission around the world and by more than 30 universities in Brazil. In other words, it is not a diploma intended only for students who wish to study abroad, but also for students who want to broaden their academic opportunities and prepare to engage as global citizens.
Students who meet the requirements established by the IB can graduate with both the Brazilian diploma and the international diploma.
Founded in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland, the International Baccalaureate is a non-profit international educational organization that works with schools, governments and organizations in different countries to develop challenging programmes and rigorous assessment systems. Only institutions that meet its high quality standards can become IB World Schools and offer its programmes.
